Welcome to Danevore
I have played around with the idea of starting a food and travel blog in english, in my head for a long time now. I’ve been running food and travel blogs in my native tongue; danish since 2013, but the challenge of doing one i english, and reaching a new audience, has for the past year or so been edging closer and closer. And now is the time. Check out my about page to read more about the idea behind the blog.
The first couple of posts here on the blog might seem a little random. My very first post will be from a roadtrip I did in California in 2014, still very fresh in my recollection. There will be a few more posts from that roadtrip in following months to come.
On my danish blog I did some recipes of some classic american dishes, and found out through my analytics page, that I had a lot of visitors from other countries, escpecially from the US. Therefore I’m taking a few of those dishes and translating them to this blog, so my english speaking readers won’t have to rely on google translate and a US measuring unit converter of some sort, to get my recipes right.
Future posts include experiences from recent trips to Andalusia, Spain – Rome, Italy and Berlin, Germany. As well as foodie adventures in and around my home town of Copenhagen. Including a look at the awesome Copenhagen Street Food market and a new food market in the Vesterbro neighborhood called WestMarket opening on January 26th.
A lot of recipes are on their way as well, and it won’t just be american food. There will a lot of asian inspired recipes, but most likely the recipes will be mash-ups of different cultures and kitchens, as I like to experiment with my food in the kitchen.
